This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the symbolic meanings of numbers occurring in fixed expressions from historical, cultural, and linguo-cognitive perspectives. The study explores the roots of numerical symbolism in connection with ancient Eastern and Turkic mythology, religious sources, and ethnographic observations. The semantic layers acquired by numbers such as three, seven, nine, and forty in different historical periods are revealed on the basis of written and oral sources. Numerical expressions actively used in modern Uzbek are examined through materials drawn from literary texts, mass media, and everyday speech. The findings confirm that in fixed expressions numbers function not as quantitative indicators, but as evaluative, intensifying, and conceptual meaning-bearing elements.
