This article analyzes the distinctive ethnopsychological characteristics and historical traditions related to the family life, marriage relations, and child upbringing of the Kazakh people. The study scientifically examines the rule of exogamy in Kazakh families (the prohibition of marriage within seven generations), wedding and bride-receiving ceremonies, as well as the norms of mutual respect and moral conduct among family members. The article also presents the views of scholars such as Chokan Valikhanov, Alexey Levshin, and Nikolay Zeland regarding the temperament and family values of the Kazakh people. The article is intended for specialists studying national values as well as for a broad readership.
